InDo InSiders: Kicking Goals with Ren Chavarria of Three Chord Massage
In this episode of InDo InSiders, we meet Ren Chavarria, owner of Three Chord Massage, a long-time InDo Nashville member who has built a thriving practice focused on therapeutic massage and bodywork. For Ren, InDo Nashville has been more than a workspace—it’s been a home base where she specializes in therapeutic massage and bodywork for professional athletes, musicians, and entertainers. Her customized treatments focus on injury recovery, performance enhancement, and chronic pain management, blending deep tissue techniques, sports massage, and neuromuscular therapies to help her clients perform at their peak.
Ren’s journey blends creativity, expertise, and a passion for helping others—qualities that make her a perfect fit for our InDo community!
A Chance Discovery That Led to a Creative Home
Ren’s journey with InDo began with a curious stroll down Middleton Street. Drawn in by the energy of the neighborhood and the sight of Third Man Records, she stopped by InDo on a whim and was greeted by co-owner John RIchardson. After a few hours of conversation, she found herself touring an available office that would soon become the headquarters of Three Chord Massage. Since then, Ren has made InDo her professional home for years.
Being part of InDo has meant more than just a place to work—it’s offered a vibrant community of talented, driven professionals. Ren appreciates the collaborative atmosphere and the consistent opportunities to share insights and make connections. The stylish, art-filled surroundings—many crafted or curated by John himself—create a space that’s as inspiring as it is functional.
A Creative Community that Fuels Growth
Being part of InDo Nashville has been an essential part of Ren’s success.
“Being part of InDo means being part of a vibrant community of talented, driven professionals. The collaborative environment here is a significant benefit. There’s always someone around to bounce ideas off or share insights. The networking opportunities and supportive atmosphere have been consistently incredible,” adds Chavirria.
She continues, “Additionally, the central location within walking distance of downtown with free parking is convenient for my clients. Notably, the stylish amenities create a welcoming atmosphere that truly fits my aesthetic. It means a lot that John has crafted many of the decorations himself and hosts local artists’ work in our hallways.”
Collaboration in Action
InDo’s community of other professional members has also been a strong driver in the significant growth of her practice.
She regularly collaborates with Dr. Charlie Kautz and Dr. Shayan Ghaffari, who also work at InDo, exchanging client referrals and supporting each other’s practices. This supportive environment has not only boosted Ren’s client base but also introduced her to exciting new opportunities—most recently, she added The Nashville SC soccer team to her roster of clients, bringing her therapeutic expertise to Nashville’s top athletes.
Balancing Business and Law School
In addition to growing her business, Ren has been pursuing her JD at the Nashville School of Law.
“InDo has been invaluable for balancing my professional and academic responsibilities. The quiet spaces, conference rooms, and reliable amenities made it easy to transition between client sessions and study sessions.”
She adds, “John’s generosity in offering free monthly conference room usage for my study group significantly contributed to our academic success. Our recent graduation owes much to those essential study sessions at InDo!”
A True Gem in Nashville’s Creative Scene
When asked if she would recommend InDo, Ren doesn’t hesitate.
“I highly recommend joining InDo or renting office space here to any entrepreneur. It’s a dynamic, welcoming community that genuinely supports professional growth and success. The convenience, camaraderie, and resources available here are unmatched in Nashville. It’s truly one of the last authentic spaces in a real neighborhood, filled with grit and heart.”
Ren’s experience speaks to the core of what makes InDo special: community, creativity, and the freedom to grow.
